FlightDeck Tours are designed to bring structure, progression and purpose to your flying experience. Instead of selecting individual contracts, Tours allow you to follow a curated series of flights built around a specific theme.
Whether you are recreating historical routes, flying iconic aircraft, or following real-world events, Tours offer a more immersive and rewarding way to explore FlightDeck.
What are Tours?
A Tour is a collection of flights grouped by a shared concept or storyline. Each Tour consists of multiple legs that you can complete at your own pace.
Tours are created to reflect a wide variety of aviation experiences, including:
Historical routes and legacy operations
Iconic aircraft journeys
Real-world inspired events
Community and seasonal themes
Each Tour provides a structured path while still allowing flexibility in how and when you complete it.
Permanent and Time-Limited Tours
FlightDeck Tours can be either permanent or time-limited.
Permanent Tours are always available and focus on timeless aviation content.
Examples include historical routes such as early intercontinental flights or classic airline operations.
Time-Limited Tours are based on real-world events or seasonal themes.
These Tours may be available only for a certain period or may be updated to reflect ongoing developments. For example, a Tour based on a current global event may evolve as the event progresses.
Aircraft Requirements
Some Tours are designed around specific aircraft to preserve realism and authenticity.
Certain Tours require a specific aircraft for all or selected legs
Other Tours allow free aircraft selection, giving you full flexibility
For example, a historical route such as the KLM Batavia service may require flying the Douglas DC-3 to accurately reflect the original operation.
Aircraft requirements are always clearly indicated within each Tour.
XP Rewards
Each flight within a Tour provides additional XP on top of the standard contract rewards.
Bonus XP is awarded per completed leg
There is no additional XP bonus for completing the entire Tour
This ensures that every flight contributes directly to your progression, while still encouraging you to complete the full series.
Tour Completion and Badges
Completing all legs of a Tour rewards you with a unique badge on your FlightDeck profile.
Badges serve as a visual representation of your achievements and highlight the Tours you have successfully completed. Each Tour has its own badge, making your profile a reflection of your journey and experience.
