How can I share a contract?
Here you can read more about how you can share a contract with someone and fly together
Sharing is caring
Because flying together is always more fun than flying alone, we encourage you to do so. To make flying with FlightDeck more interesting, we've created a feature that let's you share accepted contracts with your friends. This way you can fly together and earn more points. This is how it works.
1. Accept a contract
First you must accept a contract in your dispatch page. You do this on the regular way. Learn more about contracts here.
2. Share your contract
After accepting a contract, you can share your contract with unlimited friends by using the 'Share contract' button. You can only share with people that you follow (and they must follow you too).
3. Accept a shared flight (for your friends)
Your friend or friends will now get a notification that a flight has been shared with them. They can either accept or decline this request. When they accept the shared contract, the contract will be added to a new 'shared' slot in their dispatch. This shared slot can only be used by receiving parties.
4. Fly together
Now, when your friends have accepted the flight, they can log into the network (either IVAO of VATSIM, you can use both) to fly the contract. Because it's a shared contract, the mission is to fly it together. This means that all your friends must login to the network within 10 minutes of the contract sharer.
5. (optional) Fly shared cockpit
You can use this function with shared cockpit to fly the same flight for the same amount of XP. Learn more about shared cockpit here.
Things to keep in mind
Sharing a contract does not change its expiration time. This means that if you share a contract that you have accepted a while ago, your friends will also have less time to fly it.
Shared contract flights will be handled as regular flights with contracts. This means that they will need all normal flight requirements before being analyzed and validated. You can read more about this here.
