Requirements for a validated flight
Here we explain how we check and validate your flight before giving you XP for it.
Realism means immersion
Because we believe that you should only be rewarded XP if your flight was done in a correct way, we analyze all flights after completion. By doing this we encourage virtual pilots to complete their entire flight.
Requirements for validation
After you've done your flight, disconnect from the network. Whenever your disconnect lasts for 4 minutes, FlightDeck will start analyzing your flight and mark it as approved. It will do so if your flight meets our minimum requirements:
You've started your flight at your departure airport and ended your flight at your arrival or alternate airport
You've both started and edned your flight with a ground speed of 0 knots
You've actually been airborne
You have not disconnected for longer than 4 minutes
All approved flights earns you XP! How much XP you can earn is covered here.
Things to consider
Make sure that you will wait a minimum of 2 minutes at your arrival gate/parking before disconnecting. Disconnecting prematurely will often result in an invalid flight, because the ground speed at the end was not 0 knots.
Flights will analyze on their own, you don't have to do anything for it except disconnecting from your network.
Only a validated flight will earn you XP.
An invalid flight will remain in your Flights log book but will not count towards your statistics.
My flight was wrongly rejected
This can happen due to many reasons. The reason for rejection of your flight is stated on the flight page itself. Do you still think it was wrongly rejected? You can flag the flight to be manually reviewed by one of our validators. You can provide more context and information when flagging a flight. This will be taken into account in the assessment and increases the chance that your flight will be approved. Once approved, you will get the calculated XP including the bonus XP if applicable.
